Torrevieja lies about 50 kilometres south of the city of Alacant. Torrevieja was originally a salt-mining and fishing village as it is located between the sea and two large salt lakes (Las Salinas), which give Torrevieja a healthy microclimate.The Costa Blanca resort of Torrevieja is a dream if you like sun, sea and lots of sand. Five of Torrevieja’s beaches were awarded the Blue Flag in 2016, ranging from cute urban bays buzzing with activity in the summer, to wide open beaches where you can find seclusion even in July. The resort is pinned to the coast by two great salt lagoons that are protected by natural parks.
For the ultimate view of Torrevieja from the sea you can walk along one of the long breakwaters that pushed a long way out into the Mediterranean so far in fact that a round trip from the waterside in the port to the beacon at the end of the Dique de Levante is about two miles.
Spain has lots of scenic paths that follow the course of disused railway tracks and Torrevieja has a great example. It’s a seven-kilometre route that was part of a line that was built at the advent of the local mining industry but shut down in the 1970s.
Now it’s a handy walking and cycling route past the east shore of the Laguna Salada de Torrevieja. You’ll depart from the Old Railway Station and finish at the small town of Los Montesinos.
Once you leave the resort behind you’ll have widescreen views of the lagoon and the countryside on the shore.

We use beniconect all the time the express that is a little more expensive but you know there is ever only 4 drop offs or pickups taking you straight to or from the airport help you with your bags pleasant drivers most speak a little English so that helps would recommend them to anyone

Excellent service. I use the no more than 4 drop off to Benidorm and always great service. You may have to wait a bit of your plane comes in first, or early, but this is not a problem. At approx €15 as opposed to €80 in a taxi

I used this service after researching reviews on the internet and have to admit the service was first class. I flew into Alicante late at night and Beniconnect was there as promised. On the website there are numerous options you can choose from. I chose the cheapest for my family and I. The mode of transport was a small 15 seater bus with air con and WiFi. Beniconnect were a lot cheaper than paying for transfers via the flight company or the holiday company I booked with. I booked online and when the confirmation email came, attached was a booking reference number with clear instructions on how to find their desk. On arrival, an helpful lady was waiting at the desk and allocated us our bus. We waited for about 10 minuets, the driver loaded the bags in the back and then we were on our way, taken straight to our hotel, which luckily for us was one of the scheduled drop off points. The return to the airport couldn’t have been simpler. Again, I was on a late flight. I received an email 24 hours before giving me instructions on when the bus was arriving and that I should be at the pick up point 10 minutes before the scheduled time. Beniconnect even sent an email to the hotel who pinned it up on their departure board. On the return, I literally fell out of the hotel and on to the bus. Again, air con and WiFi to keeps the kids occupied. One hour later we arrived at the airport right in front of the departure lounge. If you’re going to Benidorm, I can’t stress enough how professional these guys are in getting to the town.

Used Beniconnect for our transfer from airport to hotel, paid the extra for private transfer. Instructions very clear, found desk in airport no problem where they had driver waiting for us. They were also able to tell us there and then our pickup time as well as receiving an email to confirm. Took less than hour to get to hotel. Pickup on time and transfer to airport approximately 45minutes. Worth the extra. Would use again
I booked on line after reading several recommendations on TripAdvisor. I booked a mini bus transfer for 10 people.The booking was process was quick and easy. I got confirmation immediately with a reminder just before we travelled. The check in desk is right in front of you when come come into arrivals. I confirmed my name and destination, our driver was there. I agreed our pick up time for the return journey. Then our driver took us down 2 escalators and the vehicle was there. Within a couple of minutes we were on our way. The vehicle looked brand new and we had plenty of space. The air conditioning worked perfectly. It took 45 minutes from Alicante to Benidorm and we were dropped right outside our apartments. I received an email to confirm our pick up arrangements and the mini bus arrived bang on time and the return journey was just as smooth. The whole experience couldn't have been better and we paid £18 return per person which we were very pleased with.
