Private transfer Jijona / Xixona - Valencia Train Station
Valencia Train Station transfer connects to the main tourist town of Jijona / Xixona.
Jijona also known as Xixona is a town in the Valencian Community on the eastern coast of Spain.
Located 25 km north of Alicante, the village is nestled in the foothills of the Peña Roja
The town is famous for a type of soft nougat, known in Spanish as Turrón de Jijona. This is mostly due to the extensive almond farming that has existed since the Moorish farmers originally cultivated the almond trees following the Islamic conquest of the Iberian peninsula. Several factories produce turrón, which is all distributed for sale in December.
Places of interest to visit are the Castle of the Torre Grossa, and the Franciscan Convent of the Virgin of Orito.

With two teenage children, a silly o’clock in the morning flight and a bundle of luggage, we didn’t fancy buses, trains and more buses to get to our holiday flat in Denia from Alicante airport so I prebooked a taxi from Beniconnect. It wasn’t cheap, 125€, but we got a spacious air conditioned vehicle with a very courteous and friendly driver Enrique who took us quickly and safely to our destination.
