Three kilometres northeast of Aguilas is la Isla del Fraile (Monk Island), so named thanks to the similarity of the island's silhouette to a monk's hood. The island has a small rocky beach. The top of the island gives way to a sudden drop down to the sea on the island's back side. The remains of a Roman wall are still visible, as are a couple of structures of the early 20th century built by an eccentric British lord who lived on the island and used it for contraband purposes.

Used Beniconnect for our transfer from airport to hotel, paid the extra for private transfer. Instructions very clear, found desk in airport no problem where they had driver waiting for us. They were also able to tell us there and then our pickup time as well as receiving an email to confirm. Took less than hour to get to hotel. Pickup on time and transfer to airport approximately 45minutes. Worth the extra. Would use again

With two teenage children, a silly o’clock in the morning flight and a bundle of luggage, we didn’t fancy buses, trains and more buses to get to our holiday flat in Denia from Alicante airport so I prebooked a taxi from Beniconnect. First time booking for a transfer from Moraira (La Sienta) to Alicante airport. Completed online. All information and directions for the pick-up were very clear. The booking was confirmed immediately by email and the exact pick-up time was confirmed 24 hours before by accessing the website. In this instance, I needed to set off earlier than the time suggested as I did not have anywhere to leave my luggage and arriving at the airport early was preferable to waiting outside in the heat in Moraira. Contacted by phone. No waiting in a phone queue and very helpful staff member. I was offered an earlier time and it was easily amended. Arrived promptly and ran to schedule. Very comfortable journey in air-conditioned minibus.
